The West Pacific Internet Relay Chat
What is IRC?
IRC Stands for Internet Relay Chat. Basically a Chat room without the web site to be not complicated about it. The best part is the it is FREE yes FREE!

Why IRC?
It is quick and easy way to get in touch with not only people of our region but all region on the network Esper.net who host a room on that network.

What do I need to chat?
You just need is an internet connect (which you probably have if your reading this) and a IRC program.
For Windows users we recommend mIRC which can be found at the mIRC website.
For Mac (OSX at least) users we recommend X-Chat Aqua wich can be found at the Developer's page on SourceForge.net .
For Unix users we recommend that you have one but you probably don't need our help!
If you have Firefox you can get Chatzilla which is a firefox extention.
You can also download Trillian . (Windows Only Program)

Don't want to or can't download an IRC program? Try this free Java client which can be integreated into websites (also good for pesky school firewalls) FriarBot.com .

How do I get on?
Following the directions set the server to irc.esper.net

Please note that when "<insert something here>" is writen don't write out "<insert something here>"
Once it has connected you type /nick <nickname> (We recommend you use some form of your Nation's name for easy identification).
Once you've done that you just type /join #the_west_pacific

Alternative you can use this connection tool to load our Java IRC Client in a new Window.
